About Me

My name is Rosanna and I am a Hair and Makeup Artist specialising in beauty, bridal, editorial and avant-garde makeup. I am skilled in many areas of the industry. 

I am a creative, imaginative individual and this is shown through my portfolio and experience. I like all things makeup and hair related. I enjoy communicating with clients and making them feel special and beautiful. I believe in cruelty-free and vegan beauty and this is reflected in my kit. 

I have had a passion for makeup since a teenager. I used to experiment with makeup and make myself up for school. This involved different coloured lipsticks and eyeshadows. I was always in school productions acting and thought I may want to become an actress. However, I was asked to do the makeup for the cast. This is something I really enjoyed and wanted to take further as a career. I then watched many Youtube videos from makeup artists, learning their techniques and practising on myself. 

After school, I went to college to study beauty therapy which had a unit in makeup. I decided I wanted to study only makeup and hair. After completing my level 2 I went to study Hair and Media Makeup at college for 2 years, for my level 2 and 3. I thoroughly enjoyed this and my passion for makeup was growing. I took part in The National Makeup Awards where I competed against other artists. Many of these artists were university students and seeing their work inspired me. So I decided I really wanted to go to university to study Hair and Makeup.

I am now in my final year at university and this has been a great experience. At university, I have been able to build my portfolio with professional industry level images. I have also had access to many work experience opportunities furthering my skills, building connections and expanding my portfolio. This has been through professional makeup artists coming in for a masterclass, collaborating with students on their photoshoots and films, working at London Graduate Fashion Week, Winchester and London fashion shows and doing some paid work for bridal makeup.  I have also had experience in working alongside others and in fast-paced environments, this has been through completing trade tests and assessments throughout my course.
